Thomas's Upcoming BeyBlade Party!~

With a our son's birthday coming up fast, we have already begun the preparation.

*****INVITATIONS ******

Dude...I am proud of these. Cutout paper Beyblades that actually spin on a track ON THE INVITE! Each one cost about $0.80 to make, but I am pretty proud of them. 

I will save a pptx file of it eventually so people can snag the template if they wish. 

Essentially I made the design, cut a track, and made a movable Beyblade that was attached to pennies. Gravity helps with the rest. Check out the video here: http://youtu.be/ppTGaAnL2NM

****GAMES****

The main theme will be the tournament...of course. But that many kids taking turns, someone may get board. We are going to make our own "launch challenges" to help our junior Beybladers get some practice and skills. 

Ryuga Race - Two Lanes and a goal line...Launch straight, Launch fast, Win the Challenge!

Gingka Game - Ever tried to skip a stone on a pond? How about a bey on multi-level boards. How many times can you skip it? Our kiddo came up with this game one morning. All I heard was several beys hitting my wall. I came up to to find that he had set up a table, chair, and upside down tub and was launching them into a bucket. So awesome. 

Kamikaze Kyoya - BeyBlade Shuffle Board! Spin your way to the highest score, and hope your opponent doesn't knock you off. 

Kenta Krash - Did you know you can bowl with beys? True story. Kiddo had setup some koolaid bottles and started trying to knock them down. In his undies...as per usual. Decided this was a BRILLIANT idea for a game :)

Madoka Mechanics - Not a game, but definitely a great pit stop. My son's favorite part of Beyblading is taking them apart and rebuilding them...better, faster, stronger, etc. So...Viva la Craigslist... we found 50 beys for about $50 dollars...decided it was a great take home/goody bag item. So all the kids will build and customize a Beyblade for the tournament, and then take it home at the end of the party.
